In Scheduling Affinity, specify the CPUs to have affinity with the FortiGate-VM. Edit the FortiGate-VM hardware settings and select Virtual Hardware. I had to download the OpenXen VM version to get the qcow2 file format then use the qemu-img Linux utility to convert it to a vmdk file (or VDI), which I could then boot from successfully. I did have to take a little bit of a round about way to get a FortiGate VM to even boot in VirtualBox. If you have a registered Fortinet product (any one should do) and have a valid login ID on the site, you should be able to download any of the VM images (via the download link). ![]() As far as I am aware, the virtual Fortigate products come with a default 15-day evaluation license until you actual enter a proper licence.
